Inga recently had an exhibition in Iceland at the Borgarbókasafn. The exhibition was part of an installation honoring Icelandic artists from Winnipeg. The exhibition was on display from the 23rd of August until the 21 of September. The opening day was very successful.

Inga Torfadóttir is a printmaker and ceramic artist living in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She immigrated with her family from Iceland in 1976. After studying Fine Arts at Myndlista og Handidskoli Islands (MHI) and Myndlistakoli Reykjavikur (MR), she worked for more than twenty years as a ceramic artist and instructor producing fine ceramic pieces at the Stoneware Studio in Winnipeg.
Inga is a member of the Manitoba Printmakers Association where she conducts workshops and teaches courses on various methods of printmaking. Her work may be found in many private and public collections including the Winnipeg Art Gallery, the Government of Manitoba, the Government of North Korea and the Government of Iceland. She has exhibited her work nationally and internationally since 1987.
